was established in 1985 with the idea that an animal companion's portrait is an important addition to the family photographic collection.

Photographing animals is our specialty. At Animal Images, we understand animal behavior. Through special handling and patience we will capture the animal's unique personality and traits. Remember, an animal's biological clock runs much faster than a human's. A professional portrait will be a priceless keepsake, a gift from the present to the future.

The studio is located in a rural setting on State Route 38B, Newark Valley, NY. It is specially designed to photograph animals. We try to make the animal(s) as comfortable as possible. Right down to the "Critter Crossing" sign and the fire hydrant on the studio lawn.

I have been enlightened over the last few years that an animal is many things to different people. The word pet is not all inclusive.

To a breeder/show handler it is an animal.
To a family with kids it is a family pet.
To a childless couple it is a buddy or substitute child.
To an only child or an unmarried adult it is a best friend.
To an elderly person it is a companion for life.

To the latter three above categories an animal helps ease the loneliness in our daily lives.
